As you arrive on the ferry, take note of the pier to your right – and make sure you stop to visit the Bowen Island Marina & Pier during your visit. You’ll find meal and snack options as well as unusual gifts and a kayak/paddleboard rental shop.
Before you stroll up Trunk Road past the General Store, take in the interesting assortment of clothing and decorative items at several spots in Snug Cove (including the summer weekend market on the lawn). If you’re waiting in the ferry line-up to leave the island, they are also the perfect way to pass the time and pick up something to mark your stay.
At the four-way intersection, stop at Village Square, where you’ll find an assortment of shops and services, including the full service First Credit Union, open Monday through Saturday for any of your banking needs.
Further up the trail you’ll also find Artisan Square where there is even more shopping and dining to take in, as well as a number of art galleries and craft shops and a magnificent view.
